Animals have always been at the heart of my life. From a young age, I was rarely found without a dog or cat by my side, and that early bond grew into a lifelong passion and career dedicated entirely to animal care.
I began working with animals as a teenager, volunteering in animal shelters and caring for abandoned and injured pets. My commitment and natural love for animals soon led me into professional roles, including years spent working in rescue centres, veterinary practices, and specialist animal care environments. Along the way, I gained invaluable hands-on experience with a wide range of animals, from domestic pets to more exotic species.
I am now a qualified veterinary nurse with over 20 years of experience in animal care and veterinary nursing, bringing expert knowledge, calm handling, and genuine compassion to every pet I look after. My approach is always centred on understanding each animal as an individual — respecting their routines, personalities, and specific needs to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
After many years in the profession, I founded Leanne’s Pet Care Services to bring my skills, experience, and love of animals directly into my local community. This allows me to offer a more personal, flexible, and attentive service than larger providers, giving pet owners complete peace of mind.
